Liverpool continued their impressive start to the Women's Super League season with a hard-fought 4-1 triumph over Aston Villa on Saturday.
Finnish international Emma Koivisto was the star of the show for Liverpool, scoring twice to give her side an early lead. The Reds dominated the game from the start, creating several chances and testing Aston Villa goalkeeper Anna Leat with powerful strikes.
Villa pulled one back through Frida Maanum in the second half, but Liverpool remained relentless and added two more goals to seal a convincing victory. Leanne Kiernan and Shanice van de Sanden were on target for the Reds, securing their second consecutive win in the league.
