Contagious Theatre to present Shakespeare's tragedy in January

The King is dead. Long live the King. But who is the new King? And what will he do to avenge his father's death? These are the questions at the heart of Shakespeare's Hamlet, one of the most famous and beloved plays in the English language.
Contagious Theatre is bringing Hamlet to Chicago in January 2024. The production will be directed by Tony Award winner Mary Zimmerman and will star Tony Award nominee David Tennant as Hamlet. Tennant is one of the most acclaimed actors of his generation, and his performance in Hamlet is sure to be unforgettable.
Hamlet is a tragedy, but it is also a comedy, a romance, and a mystery. It is a play that has something for everyone, and it is sure to leave a lasting impression on audiences.
