Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has completed a permanent transfer to Premier League rivals Southampton, the club announced on Tuesday.
The move ends Ramsdale's two-year spell with the Gunners, during which he made 34 appearances in all competitions.
The 24-year-old is expected to be Southampton's first-choice goalkeeper following the long-term injury to Gavin Bazunu.
- Southampton have agreed a fee of £25 million including add-ons for Ramsdale.
- Ramsdale has signed a long-term contract with the Saints.
- The goalkeeper is keen to play more regularly after falling behind Aaron Ramsdale in the pecking order at Arsenal.
Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhüttl said: "Aaron is a fantastic goalkeeper and we are delighted to have signed him. He is a young, talented player with a lot of potential and we believe he can be a key player for us."
Ramsdale added: "I am really pleased to join Southampton. It is a great club with a lot of ambition and I am looking forward to working with the manager and the players."
Ramsdale becomes the second player to leave Arsenal for Southampton this summer, following the transfer of Ainsley Maitland-Niles earlier in the window.
